Returning a table

Possible within 30 days, but it's a freight shipment you arrange and pay for — talk to us first, because there's often a better answer.

Returning an accessory is simple. Returning a table is a freight shipment in reverse, and it's worth understanding what that involves before you start.

Talk to us first

Not as a delaying tactic — because a lot of the reasons people want to return a table have a better answer than returning it.

  • It doesn't fit the room. Sometimes a different leg height or a reconfiguration solves it.
  • Something arrived damaged or wrong. That's not a return. It's faster, free, and has no restocking fee — see My order arrived damaged.
  • A part doesn't fit or sit right. Frequently a tuning issue rather than a fault — see Tuning your Pangea after assembly.
  • It's not what you expected. Tell us what's off. Occasionally there's a component change that gets you there.

If a return is still the right answer after that, we'll authorise it and tell you exactly what's needed.

What a table return actually involves

  • Authorisation first. Unauthorised returns aren't accepted.
  • Within 30 days of delivery.
  • Repacked in its original packaging. This is the one people get caught by — a 242 lb table returns as freight on a pallet, and it needs the original cartons. Keep them until you're certain you're keeping the table.
  • Disassembled back to the cartons it arrived in.
  • You arrange and pay the return freight. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility, and freight in reverse is not cheap.
  • A 15% restocking fee may apply to opened boxes — see How refunds work.

Return address is Shipping Manager, Zola Mod, Inc., 500 Red Stag Way, Sweetwater TN 37874 — but don't ship anything before you have authorisation.

Refused deliveries

Refusing a delivery isn't a shortcut to a free return. If you refuse a shipment, you're responsible for the shipping costs involved, and re-shipping fees may apply.

The exception is visible freight damage: if you find damage while inspecting before signing, refusing is the correct move — mark "Refused due to damage in transit" on the bill of lading. That's a damage claim, not a return.

Exchanges

There's no direct swap. If you want a different size or finish, return the original and place a new order.
