Changing or cancelling your order
Most changes — cancelling, resizing, changing finish, editing the shipping address, adding items — are possible up until your order ships. The real cutoff is when the freight shipment gets booked, not when you placed the order, so a pre-order often has a lot of room. Reach out through our contact page with your order number and what you'd like changed, as soon as you can.
What we need from you
- Your order number
- The email on the order
- What you'd like changed — the more specific, the faster we can act
Before it ships — the easy window
While your order is still processing, we can typically:
- Cancel it
- Change the size, finish, or leg height
- Correct the shipping address
- Add or remove accessories
Speed matters here more than anything else — the sooner your message lands, the more likely we catch it before the order is staged for freight.
Shipping address
Changeable before freight is booked. Once a carrier has the shipment and an address, redirecting it becomes a carrier reroute rather than a simple edit — sometimes possible, sometimes not, and it can add cost and delay. If you've moved or mistyped an address, tell us immediately rather than waiting to see whether it matters.
Size or finish
Usually possible before shipping, with two things to know:
- It may change your ship date. Switching to something on a different pre-order timeline means inheriting that timeline — we'll tell you the new date before making the change.
- It's an edit, not a return — much simpler than receiving a table and sending it back. See Returning a table if the table has already arrived.
Adding items
Often yes, especially if the original order hasn't shipped — and adding accessories to an existing table order saves you a second delivery. If it can't be added (usually because the order is already being processed), a separate order is the fallback, and we'll say so rather than leaving it ambiguous.
Splitting a mixed order
By default, an order containing a table and accessories together ships together. If you'd rather have the accessories now and the table when it's ready, ask — we can usually split it. Worth doing if the table is on a longer pre-order date and you want the accessories in the meantime.
Holding an order
Moving house, travelling, or otherwise not ready to receive a 242 lb freight delivery? We can hold the order until a date you give us — much better than a delivery arriving at an empty house.
Once the freight shipment is in motion
After a table is handed to the carrier, changes get considerably harder — a shipment already on a truck generally has to complete its route. Refusing a delivery to cancel an order can incur return freight charges, so don't refuse on impulse if you no longer want it. Get in touch first and we'll walk you through the options, including our standard return path.
Cancelling
Also possible before shipment. Payment is taken at order, so a cancellation is a refund rather than a voided charge — see How refunds work.
Changed your mind after delivery?
That's a return, not a cancellation. You have 30 days from delivery — see Zola return policy.
